Our Story
The Sampalis Foundation was founded by Dr. John Sampalis, a medical researcher, professor, and entrepreneur who has devoted his career to advancing science for the benefit of patients.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sampalis has seen both the extraordinary potential of medical research and the challenges of translating scientific discoveries into better outcomes for patients. This reinforced a simple conviction: progress in women’s cancer care depends not only on scientific innovation, but also on the people and organizations willing to fund it, support it, and help move it forward.
With this vision, he founded The Sampalis Foundation to help accelerate progress in the detection, treatment, and understanding of gynecological cancers.
Today, the Foundation brings together researchers, healthcare partners, donors, and communities around a shared purpose: to advance the science and care that can improve the lives of women affected by gynecological cancers.
