Gala 2025 with Kostas Karafotis

America/Toronto

This year’s Gala highlighted our commitment to advancing early detection, innovative treatments, and improved outcomes for gynecological and women’s cancers. Thanks to the generosity of our guests, sponsors, and community partners, the evening was a remarkable success. Attendees came together to raise awareness and vital funds for research aimed at transforming outcomes for women battling gynecological cancers, diseases that continue to impact thousands each year, often diagnosed far too late. Throughout the night, guests were inspired by stories of resilience, learned about the life-saving potential of early detection, and united in support of a mission that has the power to change the future of women’s health. This year, we proudly continued our support for Dr. Lucy Gilbert’s groundbreaking DOvEEgene project at the MUHC, which is pioneering cellular-level screening tests for ovarian and endometrial cancer. We also backed the cutting-edge research of Dr. Marie-Claude Bourgeois-Daigneault at the CHUM, who is developing virus-based therapies that destroy cancer cells while activating the immune system. In addition, we supported the life-saving work of Dr. Lucas Sideris at the Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Centre, a world leader in HIPEC surgery for advanced abdominal cancers. Together, these initiatives represent powerful steps toward earlier detection, more effective therapies, and renewed hope for patients and their families.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us in making a difference. Your presence and support bring us one step closer to ensuring women receive the timely diagnosis and care they deserve.
